Sat 23 Aug - Surf , Ocean Groves - Raffs beach - surf

THIS TRIP IS FULL UNLESS YOU HAVE A CAR!

Trip to Torquay on the east coast (about 50 minutes) - a great place to learn / consolidate surfing skills.

The club has boards and wetties but if you have your own that is a great start.

Surfing is weather dependant - if it is too narly

Sun 24 Aug - XC skiing - Mt St Gwinear , Mt St Gwinear - skiing

Mt St Gwinear is one of our best xc mountains. Come have fun in the snow with me next weekend.

Fri 29 - Sun 31 Aug - Surfing Johanna , Johanna Beach, Cape Otway - surf

Trip to Johanna beach, Cape Otway. There are a number of breaks around the cape which are surfable. However, the coastline is fairly exposed and subject to rips and heavy conditions. Surf knowledge and surfriding skills are a must as is an ability to swim. This trip is not for beginners.

We will camp at the beach camp site -

Fri 05 - Sun 07 Sep - Razorback Ridge , Mt Feathertop - mountaineering

NOTE DATE CHANGE DUE TO ILLNESS - A classic Victorian alpine route that follows the scenic ridge to the summit of Mt Feathertop and return. Weather could be variable and trip will run regardless of how foul it is. Fri 05 - Sun 07 Sep - Downhill Ski/Board Trip , Mt Hotham -

5-7 September. A weekend of downhill skiing/boarding at Mt Hotham.

We Will be staying on-mountain accomodation its $105 for the weekend, Get in contact with me ASAP if your keen, as will need to book this well in advance for the accommodation.

Sun 14 Sep - Caving daytrip - TRIP IS FULL , Labertouche - caving

A day trip to Labertouche cave to explore the underground. Prepare to get dirty and squeeze through tight spaces!!! A good opportunity for beginner cavers to test their claustrophobia before going on a trip to Buchan.

*This date may get changed depending on river conditions (if they are good - I'll be going paddling instead!)

Fri 26 - Sat 27 Sep - Rescue Workshop , TBC - climbing

This will be a 1-day rescue workshop practicing some rescue techniques like z-drags, assisted hoists, escaping the system etc.. If time permits we may also look at abseiling and lowering past a knot.

Location TBC could be done somewhere close to melbourne as a daytrip or as 1-day

Wed 01 Oct - PUBGAINE!!! (Date subject to change) , CBD - social other

This is the world-renown RMIT Outdoors Club yearly Pubgaine where we combine a Rogaine with a pub crawl. Yes, it is every bit as awesome as it sounds.

Teams of 4 will have a map of pubs in the CBD with corresponding points awarded for each pub visited. For 90 minutes, you and your team will have to rack up the highest score

Fri 10 - Sun 12 Oct - Major Mitchell Platue , Grampians -

This is the highest group of mountains in the Grampians with snow occasionally falling for a day or two during winter or early spring. The view above is from Mt Frederick looking east, with Mt William to the left and the deep gorges of the First and Second Wannon Creeks in the center.
The eastern edge of the plateau is lined with cliffs.
