X Country Skiing @ Mt Baw Baw

Description: Christmas in July is nearly here, so it is a perfect time to get some practice on the
snow.

for those who want to get back into the habit of skiing cross country, or those who
have had little or no previous experience on skis, this will be a perfect beginners
day trip.

we will plan to leave at about 6:30 in the morning before driving up to mount Baw
Baw.
we will spend the morning getting some practice on the snow near the village, then
after lunch we will take a short beginner ski trail to see some of what the
Christmas in July trip entails.
we will plan to be back in Melbourne by 8:30, and we will probably stop on the way
back for dinner.

bring warm clothes and lunch (although this can probably be bought at the
village), equipment to bring such as skis will be worked out and borrowed from the
gear room once numbers have been confirmed. i will also bring some snow shoes
and packs so people interests in the Christmas trip can try these.

this trip is aimed at those people coming on the Christmas trip but please feel free
to come along even if you are not coming to Christmas.
